A Magical Dublin City Wedding: Hannah & Mark at Smock Alley Theatre and Roberta’s

There’s something quietly cinematic about Dublin in the autumn. Maybe it’s the way the fog rolls off the Liffey like a scene from an old film, or maybe it’s just the weather playing its usual tricks. As they say here: “If you don’t like the weather in Dublin, just wait five minutes—it’ll get worse!” But honestly, it’s exactly that ever-changing Irish sky that made Hannah and Mark’s wedding day all the more magical to film.

As a wedding videographer in Dublin, I’ve been lucky to witness so many different kinds of love stories, but there was something truly unique about the atmosphere of this day. The combination of a historic city-centre ceremony venue and a stylish reception at one of Dublin’s trendiest restaurants gave this wedding its own distinct character. The kind of day where you don’t need a castle in the countryside to create something cinematic—just two people madly in love, a few cobblestones, and a bit of that charming Dublin drizzle.
